Founded in 1995 in Ankara by Ismet Kinay, AKME has been serving dentists and dental technicians in both wholesale and retail sectors. Initially holding many brand franchises, the company turned to importation in 2008 due to market competition and economic conditions in the country. AKME continues its activities in the dental sector with its imported and self - produced products. The company has made continuous development a principle and aims to increase product variety with local production. AKME promises to effectively maintain the requirements of the TS EN ISO 13485:2016 standard and the 93/42/EEC Medical Device Directive. It prepares the necessary infrastructure to set quality targets according to primary and secondary legislative requirements and customer requirements for each function within the organization. It determines monitoring and measurement criteria to achieve these targets for each process. The results of the monitoring of these processes are reviewed in management review meetings through data analysis reports. AKME posts the ‘Quality Policy’ document in a visible place within the organization and makes it accessible to all employees through the company’s internal network to ensure its communication. It also provides orientation training for new employees. AKME conducts internal audits to ensure the ongoing suitability of the quality policy. Its suitability is reviewed annually in management review meetings. The company also provides the necessary resources for third - party audits within the framework of the TS EN ISO 13485:2016 standard.
