Company Profile

El Blues is a Venezuelan blues-music information and cultural platform associated with the Sociedad por el Blues en Venezuela (SBV), an organization established on June 24, 2009, with its base in Caracas. Rather than operating as a dental or medical company, the organization is dedicated to documenting, preserving and promoting the blues genre as developed and practiced in Venezuela. Its activities encompass a broad range of music-related cultural and media initiatives, including the organization and promotion of national blues festivals, interviews with prominent musicians, coverage of Venezuelan blues and rock artists, support for national music production and discography, and promotion of Venezuelan manufacturers and builders of musical equipment, particularly guitar and bass amplifiers, effects pedals and related audio technology. The El Blues website serves as an information archive and online resource covering the history and development of blues music, Venezuelan musicians, international blues artists, albums, films, documentaries, recordings, musical equipment and electronics projects. The site also contains articles, music recommendations, historical materials and links to international blues organizations, music publications, equipment manufacturers and specialist resources. Its content demonstrates an interest not only in the musical history of blues but also in the technical side of the genre, including guitar setup, amplifier technology, effects pedals, electronics modification and vintage musical equipment. The organization's stated long-term vision has included developing into a national producer of music festivals, long-form audio recordings and an information portal serving the general public. Through its website and related activities, El Blues functions primarily as a cultural, media and archival resource for blues enthusiasts, musicians, collectors and researchers interested in Venezuelan and international blues culture.
